Behind this manifesto is a human filled with frustration towards society’s overwhelming calls to “come back to Earth”. Often, her thoughts have been classified in the box of ‘abstraction’, itself located on a distant shelf from the ‘reality’ cage. The frustration grows even bigger as she navigates through academic life, where every word must be justified, where style is often sacrificed for the sake of time and efficiency, where writing because I like it is not enough anymore. The scholar maelstrom leaves her in a quasi-constant state of numbness. In the midst of assignments, theories, counter-theories and counter-assignments, she finds no sense in the world anymore. Words lost their meanings altogether.

Con-fusion is a call to introspection, as it is crucial to remain aware of the thin door between a well-ordered and a chaotic world. Far from claiming this micro-website to be such an opening, she hopes that it reflects – a bit like Magritte’s pipe - the confusion potentially arising from information overload.
